Goodwill Central Texas Awarded $10,000
Community Grant from Austin Community Foundation

AUSTIN, TX — Goodwill Central Texas is proud to announce it has been awarded a grant of $10,000 by the Austin Community Foundation. The funds will be used to supplement our Life Coach services dedicated to one-on-one support and guidance, integral to student success.

“Our organization has assisted over 500 students with our Life Coach Program during the last three years,” Matt Williams, Vice President of Education said. “This grant from the Austin Community Foundation will give us additional resources to expand Life Coach services that will support our growing student enrollment at The Goodwill Excel Center adult high school.” He added, “The additional support we will be able to offer our students will help them become more successful as they pursue their career pathways.”

“We are pleased to partner with Goodwill to create meaningful change in Austin and Central Texas,” said Meagan Anderson Longley, Vice President of Community Impact at Austin Community Foundation.

Thank you to the Georgia B. Lucas Foundation Fund at Austin Community Foundation for this generous grant.

Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of CommerceAbout the Austin Community Foundation

The Austin Community Foundation fosters an ecosystem of philanthropy to create meaningful change in Austin. We do so by providing efficient and effective giving tools for donors, strategic grants for nonprofits, impact investing options and collaborative leadership around the most pressing needs in our community. Through the generosity and vision of our donors, past and present, we granted more than $20 million last year, mostly through donor advised funds. Founded in 1977, we are the third largest charitable foundation in Central Texas by grants distributed. Through our long-term investment strategies we create assets for tomorrow while building a community of givers today. http://www.austincf.org
