Respected Former Board Member Inducted Into Goodwill International, Inc. Hall of Fame

Dr. Carl E. Hansen was inducted into the Goodwill Industries International, Inc. Hall of Fame on June 26, 2017. Dr. Hansen was a distinguished, results-oriented leader to the boards of Goodwill Industries of Central Texas (Austin) and Goodwill Industries International (GII) for more than 31 years. He began his service to Goodwill Central Texas in 1971 where his involvement was key to growing the $425,000 nonprofit into a highly-respected $9 million workforce development organization.

Dr. Hansen was instrumental in the formation of Goodwill Global, which is dedicated to advancing the Goodwill model on a global scale. Goodwill currently has a presence in 13 countries, with each nation dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities and other obstacles to employment to find careers. In addition, he helped build and strengthen relationships with Rotary International and Workability International with the shared goal of creating jobs for persons with disabilities worldwide.
