Our Digital Inclusion Programs

Digital Equity Van: BETTY

<p>BETTY stands for Bringing Education and Technology To You. Funded through a major gift from Indeed, our digital equity van serves as a sort of computer lab on wheels, offering mobile internet access, career exploration opportunities, and job search support wherever it goes.</p>

Goodwill TECH

<p>TECH stands for Tools for Equity, Connectivity, and Hope. Funded for the first three years by Methodist Healthcare Ministries, this program aims to provide free devices and internet access (such as laptops and hotspots) to individuals who need them.</p>

Digital Training

<p>Goodwill Central Texas has formally offered digital skills training since 2017 with utilization of NorthStar Digital Literacy curriculum beginning in 2018. In 2023, we created a position for a Digital Navigator to support our Affordable Connectivity Program outreach.</p>

Community Involvement and Partnerships

<p>Goodwill Central Texas is a member of the Digital Empowerment Community of Austin, as well as the Aging & Disability Collective. We are also an Affiliate+ member of the National Digital Inclusion Alliance, and we have hosted Digital Inclusion Week events since 2018.</p>
